Happily Ever Hashtag: Tips, Tricks & Ideas!

A few months back, we at DE shared our thoughts on #Wedding #Hashtags. With an overwhelming response for more tips and tricks, we're coming back for round two!

Tip #1: Aim for wit but stay true to yourselves: Everyone loves a clever wedding #hashtag that is easy to remember. However, make sure its something thats true to who you are as a couple or focused on the wedding. Think about including names, personality adjectives, dates, locations etc.

Tip #2: Be cautious with numbers: Going off of tip #1, adding your wedding date is a quick and easy way to personalize your #hashtag BUT be cautious when using long sets of numbers because it can get confusing and overwhelming. Plus, there is nothing worse than a mispelt #hashtag.

Tip #3: Check the wedding #hashtag on all media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc, check them all! The goal is to be original. You definitely dont want another couple's happy day to crowd up your feed or lose your pictures in the midst of others.

Tip #4: Ask for help/opinions but dont try to please everyone: Choosing the perfect wedding hashtag can be overwhelming..sometimes you may feel like a deer in the headlights, other times you may have so many options that you want to use them all! Ask family, ask friends, ask your bridal party, go to the Instagram polls and reply Snaps! Just be sure to keep in mind that you cant please everyone. In the end, go with your gut and choose what feels right for you.

Tip #5: Spread the news! Once your wedding #hashtag has been created, spread the news! Begin using it early on and encourage others to do so, as well! You can even incorporate in advanced through Save the date/ Invitation mailings then include it in the wedding through signs, photobooth props, custom snapchat filters or even a live wedding hashtag feed projector!

Still stuck? Make it easy by choosing an alliteration that is fit for you! DE has come up with FIVE (yes, 5) ideas for each letter, A to Z! Let us know which is your favorite!
